What exactly are these Apps?
Active focus mac app. they create scheduled events that will Automatically put your bid amount into an eBay auction at the last moment of the auction so that you have the best chance of not being out bid. If someone doesn't see your bid in time, they can’t out bid you by a small amount.
All Sniping of Auctions is Free for Life.
Does anyone know of any good new or old ebay applications for sniping bids and managing things you are selling and bidding on. I'm not sure if that's the proper term, but I'm sure you get it. Thanks for any help. Ps- need i say for OS X. This Mac App has two modes, You can either have the app automatically snipe/(bid) for you at the last moment on an eBay auction, or you can set custom alerts so that you can snipe/(bid) in person at the last moment. To have the app snipe for you automatically, follow the steps 1,2,3,4 at the bottom of the App window.
no more paying a service for each auction, no more ANY fees of any kind.
How do you use these Apps?
log into eBay with this app, that sets your credentials, go to an auction you are interested in, fill in the “bid amount” you want to win at. How much space left in apps on mac. And that is it. You get alerts when your bid is successful or not. The best part is you can be away from your computer, use the iPhone app to snipe an Auction, and this new snipe communicates directly and nearly real time to the companion Mac App, even while the Mac app is not in the foreground, so that it can snipe for you at the proper time.
What about Calendar Alerts?
besides being able to bid for you, this app also lets you snipe that auction personally if you wish, by having your choice of set up alerts to tell you when to get in that chair and watch the last few moments unfold in front of you. Tap on the “preferences” tab and set up to three alerts for any new events that follow. Go to an auction you are interested in and click on 'Add to Calendar'. And that is it.
What do the color icons mean in the Snipe list?
Green: Snipe is running and will bid.
Blue: Snipe is running and will bid, and has less than 1 hour to go. Yellow: Snipe's Maximum price has become lower than current minimum bid needed to enter a bid. Purple: Auction ended early, or something went wrong, delete snipe and re-enter. Red: Auction ended with no bid. Red 'X' : Sniping bid was entered but was not accepted. (usually because the bid was too low, but can be other, ‘seller requirements’) Green with a red 'X': Sniping bid was entered and was accepted, but not high enough to win when compared to all other max bids. Green 'checkMark': Sniping bid was a winner of an auction. Green with a red ': Sniping bid was canceled due to a win of a similar item in a cluster. (see ‘Show Clusters’ button in the app)
Grey: App is set to ‘client mode’ (Mac version), or you are not logged into eBay, (iPhone/iPad version).
If you regularly use eBay why not make it even easier to find bargains with these Top 10 eBay sniping tools to help you save money?
There are many free tools and websites to find eBay items you might otherwise miss out on, research sellers and feedback, or snipe – bid on your behalf at the last minute so that you don’t have to be glued to your screen at four in the morning…
Some of the main bargains arise from sniping tools and misspelling tools so I’ll review each category in turn:
eBay Sniping Tools
Sniping means placing your bid at the last possible moment. This usually means you win more auctions at better prices because there is no time for competing buyers to increase their own bids. You can do this manually from your computer but this can be inconvenient.
Automated sniping services make the bid for you based on your preset maximum amount and timescale – so you don’t have to be at your computer (it doesn’t even need to be on) because the online service places the bid on your behalf.
Some sniping services may require your eBay username and password to bid on your behalf.
Obviously this would be a security risk so do some research and only use services you trust – eBay will not offer you protection if that third party misuses your account…
If you do use an eBay sniping tool, do not use the same password for eBay as for any of your other accounts – especially Paypal, banks or email.
EZ Sniper is one of the oldest eBay sniping tools and works in any currency on any of eBay’s international sites (plus up to 40 other auction sites).
It’s been around since 2001 and does not require your eBay login to snipe your bids. You get a free trial for 3 auctions and then future snipes cost 1% commission when you win (minimum 10 cents, maximum $10). There are subscription and pre-paid plan options if you use the service regularly.
Goofbid provides perhaps the largest range of services – a one stop shop.

As the name suggests, Justsnipe is another auction Sniper tool. The free version has 2 main limitations – you can only snipe as late as 8 seconds before the auction ends (Value paid version = 5 seconds) and you can only snipe 5 times per week (Value paid version = unlimited).

Don’t want to be tied to their website? How to quit app lications on mac. eBay provide web browser add-ons to get instant search results, desktop alerts, search from anywhere on the web and instant My eBay viewing – without having to browse to eBay’s site.
